It is a modern print and is mounted in a green mount. The print measures 10x8ins and the measurement to the outside of the frame is 14x12ins. The frame is a brown veneer effect one with a gold inner line. The print is in excellent condition and will make a great present for any keen foxhunters!
A bit about the artist. Harry B. Neilson Neilson was born Henry Bingham (1861 - Bidston Village). Around 18 he was apprenticed to a society of Liverpool which he left in 1884 to embark as an electrician on the SS Noordland and makes transatlantic crossings until 1886. In 1887 he went to India to work on the plantation run by a cousin and joined the regiment of Lancers Behar. Back in 1903 he moved with his sister at Bidston village where he became interested in horse breeding and hunting with hounds. During all of this period he was painting and came to do hunting pictures in 1903.
